This series was shot at a former military training ground in Brandenburg. The area is extremely degraded and severely damaged. The sandy soils have largely lost their functions for the nutrient and water balance of the landscape.
The area is now being rewilded - it’s very slowly recovering from all the damage. Like the nature around us, also we have to find a way to recover from illusionary bonds letting us believe in a damaged and cruel system. Let us feel what really matters - and protect the living world.
